Our little film project really “grew up” in the past week, with a terrific piece about us in the black cinema blog Shadow and Act (Indiewire) and a boost from Hollywood’s Michael Davis, organizer of Comic-Con’s legendary “Black Panel,” who featured our essay “Eulogy for the Sacrificial Negro” on his blog. The word is getting out that Danger Word is more than a horror film.
We raced past the $4,000 threshold and are now closer to raising $5,000 of the $15,000 we need to start shooting May 25th. But we still have a long way to go, and time is racing by too.
