The Trump Hate Continues…

Greetings friends,

The Trump hate continues. I don’t even like the guy, but some folks are so irrational in the aftermath of the election, that they’ve forgotten all of the hate speech & such after Barack Obama was elected – its called selective amnesia. And outrage. Sure, Trump says incendiary, insensitive things but he’s still not responsible for any violence done in his name. Folks, people were commiting hate crimes long before Obama and Trump. Don’t allow professional, propaganda puppets (aka corporate media outlets), convince you that this is something uniquely negative. They’re lying, which is ironic considering they’re the ones pouring gas onto this fire of an alleged surge in racially motivated crimes.  “It’s all Trump’s fault,” some insist. Don’t confuse the media’s focus on reporting these racial incidents, in their attempts to smear Trump, with their alleged, frequent occurence. In order to hold him responsible alone, one must first put him on a pedestal. He ain’t that important. Exaggerations are the trademark of what passes for today’s journalism. Racial violence is big business, especially when minorities are the victims. The media will do anything, including outright lying & exaggerating for the sake of ratings. Your uprisings and outrage benefit them. Some of you are like outrage prostitutes, turning tricks with each keystroke – the media is your pimp.trump

Donald John Trump, Sr, showed us how much of a loudmouth, controversial, unscrupulous jerk he was before the election. He still won. This should indicate how weary Americans are of the establishment types. If Trump is the racist many assess him to be, America would rather have him than a member of the establishment. Do I actually need to spell this out for anyone? The stars are aligned. The universe has spoken. Its just the year of the outsider. Some of you are inconsistent, not him. Moreover, since when did he not have first amendment rights like the rest of us? It’s incredible, how quickly some are willing to ditch the first amendment now that their feelings are hurt, because their side lost. Some have even retorted with sources which claim hundreds of racial complaints in the last week. Not to get too caught up in semantics, but last I checked, complaints aren’t convictions. Neither are arrests. You can’t quantify an increase nor decrease in racially motivated crimes without a long enough time period to measure. That’s just basic statistics & arithmetic. “Police officer, I think my neighbor threw a rock over my fence to hit my Trump sign,” – There. I just made a complaint too. That doesn’t mean however, that my neighbor is guilty. Take a deep breath folks, enough with the doomsday talk already. Its gonna be OK.

Until next musing,

Talitha “TK” McEachin

Next time, I’ll be analyzing the Cabinet picks of President-Elect Donald Trump, starting with the RNC Chair Reince Preibus himself, the newly appointed White House Chief of Staff. Stay tuned! Keep the faith.

Dr. Ben Carson for President 2016: My Thoughts

I’ve been reading more about Dr. Ben Carson & I know many want him to run for president in 2016, mostly because of his refreshing, boldness to speak the truth most recently at a prayer breakfast in the president of President Barack Obama and on Hannity. I am very cautious because he is a doctor & a philosopher without much experience. Lack of experience but celebrity charisma got us Barack Obama – twice. Dr. Carson revealed that he is an Independent and I do like what I am hearing from him. He did a wonderful job on Hannity. I think that if he runs for president in 2016 that it would be best for him to run as an Independent, rather than being forced to choose to run on a Republican or Democratic ticket, because I think he can get the financial backing no matter what & people from all walks of life & affiliations will support him. The Democratic party nor the GOP deserves him as their candidate for various reasons & it’s not in his best interest to play the partisan politics game.

If he aligns himself with either, no matter how true the words coming out of his mouth are, there will be many to immediately go into “herd biased” mode just because of a label. I am not ready to endorse him for president in 2016 because I have to do more research. My love for him as a role model is due to his achievements as a surgeon, so we’ll see what happens. If he does run, whomever he is up against had better bring their “A game” because you cannot do to him what was done to Herman Cain – the man has virtually no skeletons in the closet  so the usual mudslinging & character assassinations will be futile.

The road to 2016 is paved by us, if we choose to do so rather than play the media game & end up with the least likely candidate as the right did with Romney in 2012. As for me, my decisions will only be guided by careful research, qualifications that I see fit for the leader of the free world, comparing & contrasting without consideration of labels & prayer. Let those who choose to be told who to support fall into place as usual – those are dead, zombie votes and last time I checked I had a pulse & a mind.

Politics At Work…

Greetings Everyone!

I pray that all is well. I have been working hard on my fictional writing as well as literally – I got a seasonal part-time job this year to earn extra money for my book publication costs. Thanks again so much to those of you who generously donated to my Indiegogo campaign for the editing/publication costs for my first novel, The Elements, which will be released as an e-book in March 2013! I recent purchased the domain name for my website so please note that the new website is http://www.theelementsbooks.com! Okay….back to business. This is just a brief post regarding a conversation I had tonight at work with many regarding…..(drumroll)..Obama vs Romney….(it’s informal ya’ll – hey, I’m a Southerner!)

Now, I normally don’t discuss politics at work but today a young brother said, “Have you voted for Obama yet?”. Note the language. He didn’t ask if I had voted yet, just whether or not I had voted for Obama yet. So I told him that I won’t be voting for Obama. There were several other people standing around and they all were like “Huh? What? Wow?” They asked why & I explained. When I started explaining more & more started gathering around & listening. It literally became “Ask Talitha” night. They had ALL sorts of questions for me about specific issues – most of the questions were about Obamacare to be honest & they all wanted to know WHY I was supporting Mitt Romney.

80% of them said that they had never met a black Conservative/Republican and that they really appreciated the fact that I answered their questions immediately & in great detail. I must have answered about 70-80 questions – literally. I didn’t lie to them & told them that although Romney was not my top pick I still support him because social issues aside, IMO he will best handle the economic issues. I really had to educate many on the growing debt. I am shocked that there were not more questions about that. One black woman came up to me later & said that she really appreciated all that I shared because she was a Democrat but didn’t support Obama but was afraid to share that. She spoke with me at length about the history of the Democratic party & the GOP as well. She said “You are so bold!”

Needless to say, tonight was a very interesting & wonderful night. I don’t know how many minds I changed, but I know I got them to think hard about the issues & their level of involvement in the politics in general. I explained why we all must get involved in local politics as well. A few said to me “Obama is trying – the Republicans won’t pass his bills.” You all that know me & follow know I quickly debunked that statement. Several told me they were going to do a “fact check” on me & get back to me tomorrow. I told them….”by all means….don’t believe me outright, do your homework”. Why? because somehow, we have got to shift the mindset of the voting public to one of blind apathy or “following” to one of “fact-checking” of our leaders. Folks, this is the REAL “Hope & Change” – ROMNEY/RYAN 2012!!!!
